A close view of the foredeck companionway of the staysail spritsail barge Ethel Maud (1889) which is berthed at Hoo Marina, Kent, at low tide. The barge is berthed bow-on to the shore and the photographer is on the starboard side of the foredeck abreast the forward hatch looking forward and to port showing a woman's head projecting above the companionway. Two calor gas bottles are by the side of the companionway. Negatives numbers PM2365/7 to PM2369/28 were taken on the same occasion.
