A slightly distant port near broadside view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Essex oyster smacks A.D.C. (1890) and Sunbeam (1881) under sail, racing in the Thames Estuary. They are on the starboard tack. The A.D.C. has the port registry CK431 on her hull and mainsail. The Sunbeam has a white jib sail and has the port registry CK328 on her hull and mainsail.
