A distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the bawley Saxonia (1930) and the oyster smack Hyacinth (1900) under sail, racing in the Thames Estuary. Both vessels are on the starboard tack. The Saxonia has a white jib and her port registry CK90 is on the mainsail. The Hyacinth has a white foresail and the port registry CK256 is on her hull and mainsail.
