A smack and two spritsail barges under sail in the Thames Estuary. The smack is on the left, is seen from abaft her starboard beam and is on the port tack. The bowsprit barge in the centre is seen from off her port beam and is under shortened sail with just her foresail and mainsail set and her topsail partially lowered. The staysail barge on the right has her foresail, mainsail and topsail set but her mizzen is furled.
