A distant starboard quarter view, taken from fine off the stern, of the staysail spritsail barge Scone (1919) under sail in the Thames Estuary during the Swale Match. She is on the starboard tack and has a white topsail and mizzen sail. The word PREEDCRETE is on her topsail. The oyster smack Gamecock (1907), seen from off her starboard beam, is sailing past the stern of the Scone. The Gamecock has her port registry F76 on her hull. In the right background is an unidentified bawley under sail and on the horizon is a Maunsell army fort complex. The negative is slightly out of focus.
