Four spritsail barges under sail in the Swale, Kent, manoeuvring for position prior to the start of the Swale Match. On the left and seen from fine off her starboard bow is the staysail barge Ironsides (1900) with an RDL logo on her topsail. Next, and seen from just abaft her starboard beam, is the staysail barge Vigilant (1904) with a Crossed Keys logo on her topsail. Ahead of the Vigilant and seen from only just ahead of the starboard beam is the staysail barge Centaur (1895). On the right, viewed from fine off her starboard bow, is the staysail barge Repertor (1924) with all white sails and with a Crowned Head logo on her topsail.
