Four spritsail barges under sail in the Swale, Kent, manoeuvring for position prior to the start of the Swale Match. On the left and seen from wide off her starboard bow is the staysail barge Ironsides (1900) with an RDL logo on her topsail. Next, and seen from just ahead of her starboard beam, is the staysail barge Vigilant (1904) with a Crossed Keys logo on her topsail. Ahead of the Vigilant and seen from fine off the starboard bow is the staysail barge Centaur (1895). On the right, also viewed from fine off her starboard bow, is the staysail barge Repertor (1924) with all white sails and with a Crowned Head logo on her topsail.
