Spritsail barges under sail in Gravesend Reach, River Thames, at the start of a barge match. The photographer is looking across the river from Gravesend to Tilbury. The barge in the centre with the Crossed Keys logo on her topsail is the Vigilant (1904). The staysail barge with the all white sails is the Felix (1893) and the large bowsprit barge with OCL on the topsail is the Will (1925).
