A port bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the staysail spritsail barge Scone (1919) racing during the 1981 Blackwater Match. She has a white staysail, mizzen sail and a topsail with the PREEDCRETE logo on it. She is on the starboard tack. The race starts off Osea Island in the Blackwater and runs out into the Thames Estuary to the Wallet Spitway off Clacton before turning for the run back. A vertical format negative.
