A distant port bow view, taken from fine off the bow, of the staysail spritsail barge Ironsides (1900) under sail racing during the 1981 Blackwater Match. She has the RDL logo on her topsail and is on the starboard tack. The race starts off Osea Island in the Blackwater and runs out into the Thames Estuary to the Wallet Spitway off Clacton before turning for the run back.
