A distant port near broadside view, taken from just ahead the beam, of an unidentified bowsprit spritsail barge under sail racing during the 1981 Blackwater Match. She has a white jib and is on the port tack. Negative number PM2557/48CN is also of this barge. A staysail barge, seen from off her starboard side, is in the right background. The race starts off Osea Island in the Blackwater and runs out into the Thames Estuary to the Wallet Spitway off Clacton before turning for the run back.
