A slightly distant bow view, taken from fine off the port bow, of the staysail spritsail barge Pudge (1922) under sail racing in the Thames Estuary during the 1981 Blackwater Match. She is on the starboard tack. The race starts off Osea Island in the Blackwater and runs out into the Thames Estuary to the Wallet Spitway off Clacton before turning for the run back. A vertical format negative.
