A close starboard bow view of the staysail spritsail barge Cabby (1928) under sail in the Thames Estuary during the 1981 Blackwater Match.

A close starboard bow view of the staysail spritsail barge Cabby (1928) under sail in the Thames Estuary during the 1981 Blackwater Match. She is on the port tack and her mizzen sail is furled. A number of passengers are sitting on her main hatch. Her bow, her starboard quarter, part of her foresail and mainsail and all of her topsail are out of the picture. The race starts off Osea Island in the Blackwater and runs out into the Thames Estuary to the Wallet Spitway off Clacton before turning for the run back. A vertical format negative
