A distant port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the staysail spritsail barge Scone (1919) under sail in the Thames Estuary during the 1981 Blackwater Match. She is on the port tack and her white mizzen sail is loosely furled. She has PREEDCRETE on her white topsail. The race starts off Osea Island in the Blackwater and runs out into the Thames Estuary to the Wallet Spitway off Clacton before turning for the run back.
