Children in barmaid lifeboats from the educational cruise ship Dunera (1937) taking part in a regatta in Oslofjord, Norway. The photographer is in boat No. 14 in the water off the starboard side of the ship and he is looking ahead showing the sterns of boats 9, 11 and 13 as they pass the ship. Children are lining the ship's rails to watch the race and two accommodation ladders have been rigged amidships. Lifeboat No. 1 has been swung out and the falls of boats 3, 9 and 11 are hanging from their davits. Negatives numbers N85122 to N85130 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
