The educational cruise ship Dunera (1937) lowering a lifeboat ready for a children's regatta to take place in Oslofjord, Norway. The photographer is in the bow of barmaid boat No. 14 which has been swung out on the port side of the ship and he is looking forward showing the children and three of the ship's company in boat No. 12 ready to be lowered. Children are lining the ship's rails to watch the race. Lifeboat No. 2 has been launched and is moving away from the ship. The falls of boat No. 2 are hanging from their davits. Negatives numbers N85122 to N85130 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
