On board the general cargo coaster British Coast (1934) looking forward from the starboard side of the waist just ahead of the poop during the early part of the Second World War prior to being fitted with anti-aircraft guns. By September 1941 she had been fitted with oerlikon and machine guns. She has sandbags placed on top of numbers 2 and 3 hatches and her monkey island is protected by sandbags.
