A close view of passengers disembarking down a gangplank from the starboard side amidships of the passenger/cargo liner Chitral (1956) at Berth 21 in the Royal Albert Dock, London. The passengers are led by an elderly woman in a fur coat and she is being assisted off the gangplank by two dockers. She is followed by a man in a roll neck sweater who is wearing a naval style peaked cap. It is 09.00 a.m. and this was the last occasion a P & O passenger ship used the London Docks. Negatives numbers N85209 to N85217 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
