A distant aerial view, taken from well ahead of the starboard beam, of the laden ore/bulk/oil carrier Irfon (1971) departing from the main iron ore loading pier at Vitoria, Brazil. She arrived at Vitoria 6 July 1974 and, having been loaded, is steaming away from her berth. Beyond her is the gearless bulk carrier Tweed Bridge (1974) which is alongside the north side of a finger pier and has five of her hatches open, waiting to be loaded. She arrived on 7 July and sailed the next day. An unidentified geared bulk carrier is on the south side of the finger pier and an unidenyified Petrobras tanker is alongside the oil pipeline on the breakwater. the photographer is looking east-south-east.
