The photographer is looking east-by-north from Valletta showing the St. Elmo West breakwater on the left and the Ricasoli East breakwater on the right. The steam tug Audaxia (1949) is on the left, bow-on to the camera, and a smaller motor tug is close alongside the Nevasa. Negatives numbers N85414 to N85510 inclusive were taken during Cruise number 56.
