On the cap are the words 'MUSEUM'. He has a long snake draped over his shoulders. The tail is held in his right hand and the head hangs down by his waist, held away by the warden's raised left arm. He has a long stick and a bundle of papers in his right hand. Behind him is a tall plant, similar to an aloe vera.

Arthur Bedworth was on board the Port Napier from December 1922 to circa July 1924.
