A 70 ton cement mill being shipped on board the cargo liner Piako (1962) at Newport, Monmouthshire. The photographer is on board the Piako looking aft along the port side of the foredeck, with his camera held near deck level, looking at the suspended mill No. 1 being swung across the port rail by the floating crane Simson III (1925) towards number 3 hatch. It is raining. Two of these cement mills were trans-shipped for delivery to Cockburn Cement Ltd, Fremantle, Western Australia, and the ship sailed on 9th February 1968.
