The photographer is aft of the wheelhouse of the crane, which is berthed port side to the Nuddea, looking aft, to port and up showing a 3-axle Leyland diesel lorry being lowered onto the deck of the Nuddea abreast number 5 hatch. The Nuddea is berthed starboard side to the wharf and only her midship part, from her funnbel to number 5 hatch, is in the picture. Negatives numbers N85685 to N85699 inclusive were taken on the same occasion.
