The lounge is on the starboard side of the ship and the photographer is looking aft and to starboard showing the cadets sitting down and drinking tea or coffee. The senior cadet is wearing his bosun's whistle on a lanyard. A framed photograph of the ship is on the aft bulkhead and the clock is reading 11.30. Negatives numbers N85778 to N85818 inclusive were taken on the same day.
