The waterfront at Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.

The waterfront at Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. The photographer is on a boat in the harbour looking west-by-north at the buildings on the Pengkalan Weld. A number of single masted sailing vessels and motor launches line the waterfront and on the extreme left is a small vessel that appears to be named H.K.T. Drum. The buildings include the Malayan Railway Building with its distinctive clock tower and the premises of J.H. Vavasseur, the Borneo Company Ltd, T.S. Gampatham Godown and the East Asiatic Company Ltd.
