The waterfront at Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.

The waterfront at Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia. The photographer is on a boat in the harbour looking west-by-north at the buildings on the Pengkalan Weld. A few single masted sailing vessels line the waterfront on the right and the ferry to Bagan, seen from just ahead of her starboard beam, is alongside Church Street Pier. The buildings include one with MST on it, the Malayan Railway Building with its distinctive clock tower and the premises of J.H. Vavasseur and the Borneo Company Ltd.
