A staged photograph of a family of cabin class passengers embarking on board the educational cruise ship Nevasa (1956) at a quay in an unknown port. They are climbing the brow at a shell door and are accompanied by two baggage stewards. The ship's captain is at the head of the brow to greet his passengers. The ship is berthed starboard side to the quay and the photographer is on the quay looking aft and up showing lifeboats 7, 9 and 11. The family of three comprises a husband and wife and a teenage or early twenties daughter. The people in this scene are the same as the ones in negatives numbers P62162CT, P62345CT and P62355CT, although the family has had a complete change of clothes.
