A fleet at sea (?Jutland)
Inscribed lower left by the artist 'No 1' and previously thought to be a rough study of the Battle of Jutland, although there is no obvious evidence to suggest this is the case or that it is any other action. It shows a very wide area, with ships all seen moving in the same direction in port-quarter view, but without enough detail to say more than that they are apparently all naval and of various sizes.
