A children's fancy dress competion in the assembly hall on board the British India Steam Navigation Company educational cruise ship Nevasa (1956) during a cruise. Most of the children are sitting or standing on the wooden deck watching a tall boy dressed as a puppeteer walking a young girl dressed as a puppet and their title is "Puppet on a string", in reference to a pop song which was a hit in 1967. The boy is holding up a coat hanger which has two strings tied to it and the other ends of the strings are tied to the girl's wrists.
