A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Chusan (1950) moored in Grand Harbour, Malta. She is dressed overall and has an accommodation ladder rigged to a shell door amidships. Lifeboat 9 has been lowered to promenade deck level and lifeboat 11 is missing from its davits. The photographer is looking west-by-south from the Senglea foreshore showing the two dghaisas numbers 159 and 134 drawn up on a slipway. 159 has a Royal Navy admiral's flag painted on the bow and 134 has a vice-admiral's flag instead.
