Thunderbolt (1938)
Scale 1:48. Plan shows one of 2 general arrangment drawing of the T-class submarine Thunderbolt (1938). The drawing show a port inboard profile view (Starboard profile looking to port), a plan of the superstructure, bridges, a view of the vessel at the greatest breadth, views below the main flat at frames 34-84 and 122 and 138 and the sections at Frames 9, 23, 42, 58, 70 looking forward and Frames 82, 101, 116, 130, 147 looking aft. A stamp from the Cammel Laird Drawing Office, dated 25 April 1941 is present in the top left corner of the drawing. A second stamp with the signature of the Principal Ship Overseer at Cammel Laird "S. H. Bugden", dated 21 May 1941, is also present on the left hand side of the plan. Thunderbolt was originally named Thetis. The vessel sank during its sea trials in 1938 and was salvaged and renamed Thunderbolt.
