The hull of the Orient Steam Navigation Company liquefied petroleum gas carrier Galpara (1978) on the building berth at the Thyssen Nordseewerke shipyard in Emden, West Germany. The photographer is looking down and aft from a crane close to the starboard bow showing the tanks under construction. The aft tanks are further advanced than the midships ones and only the bases for the forward tanks are in place. A bulk carrier is in the adjoining dry dock and a cargo ship is in the Rheinstahl Nordseewerke Dock 3 in the background. A vertical format transparency. Transparencies numbers P62771CT to P62785CT inclusive show the ship in the early stages of construction, long before launching, which took place on 4 June 1977
