An aerial starboard bow view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company liquified natural gas carrier Gandara (1976) under tow on the River Tyne at Shields. The photographer is in an aeroplane high above the ship which has two tugs towing at her stern and one tug connected to her bow. Her starboard anchor is suspended below its hawse. A five hatch cargo ship is alongside Whitehill Point Staithes on the left. Alongside the iron ore quay on the right is a bulk carrier with all five hatches open and the Readhead shipyard is at the top of the picture. A vertical format transparency.
