The photographer is looking forward and up at the masthead showing the Blue Peter at the port yardarm and the Cyprus flag at the starboard yardarm. The wind is in a vortex so that the Blue Peter is pointing to starboard and the Cyprus flag is pointing to port. The transparency was taken at 16.30 by the ship's Purser/Chief Steward G.A. Beyer.
