A slightly distant stern view of the harbour work boat Defence (Fl. 1974) on the slipway of the Acorn Ship Repair Yard at Rochester, Kent. She is under repair and her propeller has been removed and the rudder is lying on the slip. She appears to have been repainted. The bow of the Shell Mex & BP Ltd coastal tanker Perso (1967) can be seen alongside the head of the slip. Transparencies numbers P63213CT to P63237CT inclusive were taken on the same day.
