A close view of the bow of the container ship ACT 2 (1969) being guided into position in the New Dry Dock at Tilbury. She is in ballast and her hull paintwork is in a poor condition. The photographer is on the leading-in girder just ahead of the ship and a dock worker on the girder is using hand signals to direct the positioning of the ship. The harbour tug Plankton (1965) is by the starboard side of the ship. Transparencies numbers P63238CT to P63271CT inclusive were taken on the same day.
