On board the motor tug St. Eval (1930) during the dry docking of the motor tanker North Earl (1956) in Falmouth Docks, Cornwall. The photographer is on the port side abreast the towing hook looking aft and to starboard showing the manilla hawser connecting to the stern of the North Earl (1956), which is seen from dead astern. Two men are standing on the towing deck watching the hawser and the running gog attached to it. The steam tug St. Denys (1929) is alongside the starboard side of the tanker and the steam tug St. Merryn (1945) is pushing against the port side. The motor tug St. Agnes (1935) is alongside a jetty on the right. Transparencies numbers P63560CT to P63640CT inclusive were taken on the same day.
