On board the motor tug St. Eval (1930) after the dry docking of the motor tanker North Earl (1956) in Falmouth Docks, Cornwall. The photographer is on the port side of the deck abreast the superstructure looking aft showing two men bringing the lead wire on board on completion of the job. The lead wire is run through a pulley fixed to the deck and one end is shackled to the manilla hawser. The rest of the wire is resting on a roller and hanging over the stern. The stern of the tanker is on the right and is completely inside No. 4 graving dock. The Royal Fleet Auxiliary helicopter support ship Engadine (1966) is under repair in No. 3 graving dock in the centre background. Transparencies numbers P63560CT to P63640CT inclusive were taken on the same day.
