A port quarter view of the motor tanker North Earl (1956) in No. 4 graving dock at Falmouth, Cornwall. She is undergoing damage repairs and repainting. Her stern is out of the picture and the rail mounted crane No. 15 is alongside her. The 0-4-0ST steam locomotive No. 6 can be seen on the dockside. This engine was built by Peckett & Sons in 1919 for the CWS soap works near Irlam and was bought by the Falmouth Docks & Engineering Co in 1968. It was taken out of service in 1986. In the foregbround is a Ford Transit van belonging to A.E. Monsen, Ship Chandlers.
