A port quarter view of the motor tanker North Earl (1956) in No. 4 graving dock at Falmouth, Cornwall. She is undergoing damage repairs and repainting. Only her superstructure is in the picture. The 0-4-0ST steam locomotive No. 6 is working in the foreground. This engine was built by Peckett & Sons in 1919 for the CWS soap works near Irlam and was bought by the Falmouth Docks & Engineering Co in 1968. It was taken out of service in 1986. The rail mounted crane No. 15 is working alongside the ship. A mobile compressor from Ballards Plant Hire Ltd and a Ford Transit van owned by A.E. Monsen Ship Chandlers are on the left.
