An aerial view of Falmouth, Cornwall. The photographer is focussing on the dock area and he is just south of Pendennis Point looking north-by-west. The BP steam tanker British Cavalier (1962) is alongside the Eastern Breakwater, unidentified bulk carriers are in numbers 2 and 3 graving docks, an unidentified tanker is in number 4 graving dock and another unidentified tanker is alongside the western repair quay. The bulker in No. 2 dock has six hatches open and the bulker in No. 3 dock has all nine hatches open. Trawlers and four Falmouth Towing Company tugs are alongside the finger jetties of the Western Breakwater. Pendennis Castle is in the foreground.
