A slightly distant starboard near broadside view of the British India Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Carpentaria (1949) just under way in Indian waters. She is lightly laden and has a line suspended from her starboard bow. In the background, and seen from just abaft her port beam, is the Indian Navy cadet training frigate Cauvery (or Kaveri) (1943). Her pendant number is F110 and her bow is hidden by the Carpentaria. she was renamed Kaveri in 1968.
