On board a British India Steam Navigation Company heavy-lift cargo liner of the Manora class cargo liner in an unknown port. The photographer is looking forward and slightly to port from the starboard side aft of number 4 hold showing the pair of 11 ton cranes between numbers 3 and 4 holds, the 100 ton Stulcken derrick and the forward pair of 11 ton cranes between numbers 1 and 2 holds. There are four vessels in the class: Manora (1970), Merkara (1971), Morvada (1971) and Mulbera (1971). It is not known which of these is depicted.
