A port near broadside view, taken from only just abaft the beam, of the British India Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Uganda (1952) anchored at Dar-es-Salaam, Tanganyika. Both of her forward anchors are deployed and she has mooring lines over the stern. She has a white hull, is dressed overall and she has an accommodation ladder rigged amidships but it is not lowered. The local harbour tug Simba (1951), seen from fine off her port quarter, is pushing against the port side of the stern of the Uganda.
