A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from abaft the beam, of the British India Steam Navigation Company passenger/cargo liner Uganda (1952) getting under way at Dar-es-Salaam, Tanganyika. Her starboard anchor is being raised, she has a white hull and she has an accommodation ladder rigged amidships but it is not lowered. She is getting under way and is emitting oily smoke from her funnel. Her flag dressing is being lowered. The local harbour tug Simba (1951) is standing by off her port quarter.
