A close view of the starboard bow of the British India Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Zaida (1972) almost ready for launching from the Swan Hunter Shipbuilders Readhead shipyard at South Shields. The launch platform is structurally complete and a man on a step ladder is putting the final touches to the paintwork. A few of the scaffolding supports are still in position alongside the hull.
