A port quarter view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Stratharos (1959) anchored at Dubai.

A port quarter view, taken from wide off the stern, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Stratharos (1959) anchored at Dubai. Her stern is out of the picture. She is using her 65 ton derrick to discharge a heavy load of two steel units onto a lighter which is being held alongside by a motor workboat, possibly named Costay Tees (Fl. 1975). The lighter is alongside the port side abreast number two hatch and the steel units were deck cargo to port of number two hatch. The ship's hull paintwork at the waterline is in a poor and rusty condition. Transparencies numbers P64487CT, P64488CT and P64687CT to P64704CT were taken on the same occasion.
