A stern view of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Strathaird (1970) under tow in the South West India Dock, London, bound out.

A stern view, taken from very fine off the starboard quarter, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Strathaird (1970) under tow in the South West India Dock, London, bound out. She is in ballast and is manoeuvring to enter the lock while being towed by the tug Lord Devonport (1959), which is out of the picture. The Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Stratharlick (1969) is alongside Shed N on the left and the bow of the Ellerman liner City of Winchester (1976) can be seen alongside Shed O on the extreme left. Two other cargo vessels are alongside Sheds H and G on the extreme right. A vertical format image. Transparencies numbers P64527CT to P64537CT were taken on the same occasion.
