A port side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Strathmuir (1971) discharging containers alongside a wharf at Dubai. The photographer is looking across the quayside which is stacked with wooden packing cases, cardboard boxes and 20 feet containers. The ship has Land Rover motor vehicles on number one hatch and is using her own cargo cranes and derricks to work containers. A 20 feet container is suspended above number three hatch. The ship's bow is out of the picture and her corn coloured hull is hidden by the cargo on the quayside. Transparencies numbers P64582CT to P64589CT were taken on the same occasion.
