A port side view, from midships to stern, of the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cargo liner Strathmuir (1971) discharging containers alongside a wharf at Dubai. The photographer is looking across the open quayside showing the ship using her own cargo cranes and Stulcken derrick to work containers. A 20 feet container is being unloaded from number 3 hold by the Stulcken derrick, another has been lowered onto the quay by the midship tandem crane and a third is being lifted out of number four hold by the aft tandem cranes. The forepart of the ship forward of the Stulcken mast is out of the picture. She has a corn coloured hull and the P & O shadow logo is on her funnel. Transparencies numbers P64582CT to P64589CT were taken on the same occasion.
